I think it might be more jealousy than shunning. Some people like to say or treat those who they secretly wish they were or looked like.
Let me see, a well dressed tall woman...
last night i walked into walmart to pick up a few things.
went to check out.
said hi to the cashier.

we were on our way to the colts game in indianapolis sunday and we had been able to arrange a little stopover at their home.. what a pleasure to meet the entire family.
we had a great time, but sadly it only lasted an hour or so, before we had to trek on down to the rca dome and get to our seats.. a nice time was had by wifey and i. i hope we get to spend time together again.
it was a great new years eve present.
Never got around to taking any pics. Should have - but my mug might've broke the darn thing.
I'm sure that's not true, but I do resist pictures myself given my families treatment of me like I'm the walking dead. ( probably no reflection the camera would pick up anyway! ) HA! .
John
as many of you know by now - i do not tolerate 'shunners'.
i have done no evil, killed no one, never raped or pillaged any witnesses.
i do not tolerate small-minded witnesses who called me 'brother' for most of 40 years, now acting as if i am no better than sh*t on the bottom of their shoes.
Wow, great letter Jeff!
Heres to that pork chop salesman getting to feel uncomfortable for a change. if he cannot treat customers as such, let him go back to shopping cart chasing.
Sounds like HIS employer needs to trim the fat..

Jeff, sounds like you had a great time. I'm still looking forward to meeting folks here.
Any pictures of the two families?
guess what--!
i clicked the phrase 'jehovahs witness' at the top of the jwd page, right next to 'ads by google,' and found a bunch of ex-jw meet-up groups.
one of them, locally, that i checked into had the name and face of a df'd-then-ri'd-then-df'd-again son of a jw friend of mine.
The WTS tells the rank and file that ex-JWs can be identified by a certain feature:
Thanks Blondie, horny women are my favorite!
hi everybody and happy new year.
2007 is the year i turn 40, in fact in exactly one month's time to be precise.. i've noted that a lot of people on jwd are a similar age to me.
i think it's because it takes us this long to pluck up the courage to finally leave the borg.. i need to know how turning 40 makes you feel.
48 next month, turning 40 wasn't so bad. approaching 50, well that's another story. I'll tell you what, the day I get something in the mail from AARP won't be a thrill. I'll rip that up so fast...
yes, i post so much.
i spend so much time here.
i need to walk away for a few days.. i will not be reading your posts and commenting.
OTWO,
Welcome back! ( this is for next week )
when you live in the wilderness you sometimes lose track of time..today is supposed to be sunday december 31 2006..it`s not!..it`s friggin next year!..who took my sunday?..lol!!
..happy new year jwd!
!...outlaw
Hey Outlaw!
I just ran into your Sunday on the Ferry heading to Victoria. we had a chance to talk about you and Sunday did mention "white stuff " all around but said it was inside your home on a table neatly lined up with a razor blade and straw near by, HA! just kidding..
I turned Sunday around and pointed it toward Stanley Park. you can look for it there, or wait until it promises to return in roughly 5 days..
Happy New Year to you, Blower of Snow!! ( notice I didn't says snorter )
i decided to surprise visit my brother (we used to be extremely close) on nyeve.
i brought a present for his kids which they were excited about.
i stood at the door a little uncomfortable for a few minutes and then i said,"dude, i just drove all the way up here on my motorcycle in the cold, aren't you going to ask me in?
Hi Shawn, fellow Californian here,
I read your story and was happy and sad at the same time. I get similiar treatment and I'm just inactive, bad association thing. all I ever hear is, you shouldn't join something if you are not going to adhere to its rules, to which i reply, "so if I was part of the KKK or the Hitler youth or I was a Catholic or Mormon, I shouldn't leave if I felt it was wrong?"
It's funny, the kids treated you well but the loving adults wouldn't or at least the fear was there from you Brother. your DF'ed yet YOU did the loving Christian thing by seeing your family, your blood.
Keep us posted, hopefully, slowly the wall will start to crumble.
John
i was just thinking today about the old days going door to door and street work and i have some very fond memories of those days.
coolhand and i used to go in street work everyday together when we were pioneering.
i used to be my happiest when i was in the preaching work.
Just as long as it comes with a "Miss Field Service" Calendar
*shudder* if I can rephrase, Just as long as it's not filled with the faithful skirts below the knees, scuffed shoes, torn nylons from my old hall! not pretty..
Miss Street work, forget it.
Miss I shut down my reproductive organs for after Armageddon, pass..
Sorry, off topic, I hated it, I hated it, I hated it!
